Another day, another sunset.
I'm sure normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
Shockingly nice weather for the May Bank Holiday.
I'm sure normal service will be resumed on that front soon enough as well. ;)

Something of a diary shot from a wander around old haunts in Southampton city centre.
This was taken by sticking the camera through a hole in the gates blocking off the building site that once was the Bargate Centre. This is one of the first places I remember going to when I moved to Southampton (a heady 26 years ago!) when it was a thriving shopping centre, but it got superseded by West Quay and out-of-town shops, gradually becoming a ghost town. Now all that remains is the original facade and everything behind it has gone. And so the medieval walls that surround it see off another era and await the next ('the Bargate Quarter').

Well, I've had one of those crazy days at work where something drops into your inbox and you're pulling your hair out for the next seven hours ... so, here's a shot from my walk around the city centre yesterday.
This is the other side of the building site I posted yesterday. It's the art deco facade of a building that used to house the Jongleurs comedy club. I always liked it (the building, not the club) and am hopeful it might survive this rejuvenation project.
Full Disclosure - I could only shoot this from an odd angle at street level, so it's had way more Photoshop transform on it than can possibly be decent...
