I tried to take photos of lots of things today - lightning, rainbows, my OH, snails... and everything I touched either went wrong or literally broke.
So I thought sod it, I'll go take a photo of the moon - cue the only cloud in the entire sky sitting in front of the moon... still got there in the end. This is the result of the best thirteen handheld shots, centred in PIPP and stacked in Autostakkert 3, with a little sharpening in Registax 6 and crop in Lightroom.
The title references the lovely arc of the Montes Jura mountain range in the top left as it just starts to catch the light. Stellarium tells me the moon is at 81.5% illumination tonight.
