The rain and general autumnal dampness has brought out lots of big mushrooms in the garden. I've been wanting to take a shot of them for a few days but it's just been so damn miserable!
Today when it wasn't raining, so I had a quick go - with a totally impractical lens, but it's new and I wanted to play. I tried to make it look vaguely sunny. In reality, there's a flash in a sandwich bag just off to the right and this is manual focus as it was too dark for it to get a proper lock. ;)
This evening we went to see 'Breaking the Code' about Alan Turing at Salisbury Playhouse. We were flanked by several rows of students taking avid notes. At the interval, we asked an attendant if we could move to some spare seats on the other side. He came back to tell us they'd been asked to stop taking notes as all the page-turning was distracting the actors too.
